How to Turn Disorder into Peace

June 21, 2016

When you examine your life, how would you describe it?  Is there disorder or peace?  Truthfully, there is probably some of each depending on the area and/or season of life.  There could be peace in your marriage, but disorder on your job.  Maybe there is disorder in your finances, but peace in your home.  Even right now each of us can probably think of a little disorder that we would like to turn to peace.

What does God think about disorder in our lives?  1 Corinthians 14:33 (NLT) states for God is not a God of disorder but of peace... It is God's desire that we live and operate in peace...His peace.  If we are going to turn the disorder in our lives to peace, then there are a few things we must do:

1.  Slow Down- When you slow down and take a really good look you are able to truly assess the situation and identify the disorder in your life.

2.  Listen Up- As you assess the situation, listen to God to get His perspective.  He will give you the tools and strategies to turn that disorder into peace.

3.  Carry On- Once you receive the strategy from God, keep on moving and implement it when and where you can as soon as possible.

You will find that the peace of God will do two things:  a.) Give you the strength and strategy to turn your disorder around and b.) Keep you in a calm state of mind until it happens completely.  Let Him heal your soul!

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, There is some disorder in my life and I want it gone.  I know that you are not the God of disorder and I want you to be God over all things concerning me.  Give me the tools and strategies to turn the disorder in my life into your peace.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.
