Hey! Thanks for taking the time to stop by, and visit my blog, Haven of Hope. The purpose of my blog is simply to spread hope, help, and healing, to the hurting soul, through the love of Jesus Christ. I know what it’s like to experience seasons of hopelessness. I know what it’s like to need help, and not know where to turn. I know what’s it like to need healing when you’ve experienced so many emotional wounds. That is why I want to encourage you to keep praying, keep pushing, and keep going because when you know Jesus, there is always a reason to have hope!
Just a few years ago, God gave me a very clear direction through several of the prophetic voices that He has placed in my life. The Word was simple, “start writing”. I mean every time I turned around someone was saying to me, “you’re supposed to be writing”. I didn’t even know where to begin, but I knew for sure that I wanted to be obedient to God, so I started blogging. I looked at that blank screen, and began typing the first posts for Haven of Hope. In addition, I also pulled out the planning sheets, and rough draft for what would be my first book, Chasing Contentment.
I don’t know where you find yourself today, but I know this for sure: God has great plans for your life. He wants to restore your hope, help and heal you completely. Once He restores you, helps you, and heals you, He desires to do great things through your life. I know it may be difficult right now, but you have to see beyond where you are right now. God is ready to unlock everything that He has down on the inside of you. God operates through faith, and your faith is fueled by your hope. That is why the enemy wants you to feel hopeless. Once you hope again, and He has had the time to heal you, then you are ready to be used mightily by Him.
If you decide today that you are ready for God to begin the great work in your life, then the process begins, and your life will never be the same. Please know that things will probably not get better immediately, but trust that God is in control, and that the transformative work has begun. Also, know that the enemy does not want you to hope again, so he will probably turn up the attacks and distractions, but hang on in there! The transformation has begun! Before you know it, you will be sharing with others how The Lord completely flipped your life upside down, healed all of the hurting places, and brought you great victory!
While He works in and around your life, don’t just sit there in hopelessness and despair. Meditate on the following scriptures day and night to experience some comfort.
Are you feeling hopeless today? Read, study, and hide these scriptures in your heart:
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever… Hebrews 6:19-20
Do you need help today? Read, study, and hide this scripture in your heart:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1
Do you need healing today? Read, study, and hide this scripture in your heart:
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147:3
I hope that you will get comfortable, take a look around, and read many of my blog posts. I pray that they will give you strength and be a blessing to your life. From one hopeful believer to another, I know that your best days are just up ahead! Let Him heal your soul!
