3 Ways to Stop Panicking and Start Producing

July 31, 2017

Have you ever been working to produce something…maybe a book, a business, a team, a relationship, a family, etc.?  If you have ever produced anything or worked toward producing anything, then you have probably experienced some level of panic.  Panic, defined in simple terms, is sudden overwhelming fear that spreads quickly.  Uncertainty is often the cause of panic.  The fear of the unknown, and it can be very subtle.  Starting off as tiny, little thoughts, like "what if...?", "why...?", "how will I...?".  Those thoughts begin to swirl and swirl as the panic rises.

Before you know it, you may begin to feel like you are drowning.  Not drowning in a pool of water, but drowning in a pool of panic.  Times when I felt like I wasn’t in control, when I was unsure, or when I didn't have the answers I wanted; those were the times when I felt like I was drowning {quickly} in a pool of panic.

You see, the problem with panic is that it proposes that God is not present in our predicament.

God has a plan, right?  He is in complete control, isn’t He?  We say that He is our loving Father and provider, right?  Then, why panic?  We must decide that we are no longer going to allow the enemy to jack up our thoughts and emotions.  When we get our thoughts and emotions under control then the panic will disappear.

If you’re ready today, here are 3 ways to stop panicking and start producing everything that God has for you:

Release- Just let it go.  Whatever it is that is causing you to panic today, just release it to your Father.  Give it to Him because He can handle it better than you can.  Psalm 55:22 NIV says cast your cares on The Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.  If you’re ready to start producing; make the decision to release it.

Seek- Once you’ve released what is holding you back and causing you to panic then you are free to truly seek Him.  In the process of seeking Him, He will give you the plans and strategies you need to produce what He has laid on your heart to produce.  Matthew 6:33 NIV says but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.    If you’re ready to start producing; seek Him like never before.

Commit- After you have released what was in your way and began to seek God with your whole heart, then you can fully commit your project, task, assignment to the Lord.  Proverbs 16:3 NIV says commit to The Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.  When you know that He will establish your plans there is no reason to panic.  If you’re ready to start producing; commit your plans to Him and watch Him step in.

This is the season for you to stop panicking and start producing. God has great and mighty plans for your life.  It will big, it will be great, it will be miraculous, but you have to do the work.  Release the panic and whatever else is in the way, seek God with your whole heart, and then commit your plans to Him.  You’ll be on the other side of this before you know it.  Let Him heal your soul!

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, we release everything to you today that is causing us to panic.  We trust you.  We believe you and we are ready to produce all that you have for us. We will seek you like never before, and we will commit our plans to you.  We know that it is already done!  In Jesus’ Name, we pray, Amen.
